SamuelDEBORAH FOUNDATION

… Promoting healthy ageing across generations!

SamuelDEBORAH Foundation was incorporated on 12th August, 2020 as a deliberate effort focused at restoring hope and ensuring that elderly persons, especially in Africa’s rural communities, live healthy and dignified lives. SamuelDEBORAH Foundation exists not only to meet the material needs of elderly people, but also to defend their human rights and to promote healthy ageing principles and values across all ages.

Rationale

It is estimated that by year 2030, about one in every six persons in the world will be 60 years of age or older. This proportion will increase to one in every five persons by year 2050. Accounts abound to demonstrate that older people have always contributed to the overall well-being of families, communities and societies at large. Thus, preparing for old age and caring for old people is important to us as humans. SamuelDEBORAH Foundation therefore assumes the responsibility of adding value and caring for older people and ensuring that persons of all ages enjoy their human rights, live with dignity, live long and healthy lives at old age.
